Step up is a transformative journey that provides women with the necessary tools to become powerful leaders. It is an ˜inner journey to reveal commonly held beliefs that women have of themselves and others, as well as patterns of behaviour and choices that form the lens through which they see the world. Being aware of this allows them to look at the world differently and make impactful changes in their professional lives. Excerpt: while much has been said of external barriers for women I think that focus is needed on the ˜inner barriers that have been shaped by family, culture, and social norms. Many years of womens exclusion from professional life have had internal effects for all us, as it has shaped what we women believe is possible in our lives. The barriers that culture and family created, converted to anxiety and fear to step out, fear to be expressing ourselves, to shine and to have aspirations. We learnt to over adapt and overuse our nurturing self in the service of others while disregarding self-care. Our aspirations and our strengths that are ever so relevant in todays day and time, have taken a backseat.�.
